Banana is a magic food

Does your bun's bum twitch when s/he eats banana?
The banana ritual is very much established in this household: about 10-15 min after Hugo and Miss Eve have been let out of the crate, they will look every now and then in anticipation towards the kitchen door and me, hoping to see me approaching with the magic food. When they see I am moving toward the living room and I have something in my hands, they run like there's no tomorrow in the hope to be first to reach me, and get their teeth in the yummy banana piece. Sometimes they're so excited about it that they will happily run over the other bun or bump into him/her just to be the first.
I noticed that when Hugo eats the banana, his bum twitches, just like when they eat cecals, however Miss Eve's round posterior does not show any twitching. I wonder why? BillieBun, Nik and Harvey (ATB) had the same twitchy bum syndrome... Another lagomorphic mystery!

Sydney and Tyler's fav treat is blueberries, just two, possibly three. Tyler gets a blissed out look, like when Sydney is licking his ears. Sydney gets more of a wide eyed look, probably looking for more ! !. No bum wiggles though. Good to see you are on board for the Sticky Buns, I like your title too, I think we will collect a number of good sub-titles and use them through-out the site.

I LOVE a bit of banana but Mama only lets me have a little bit on a Sunday, she says all the sugar is bad for my teefs and tummy. :-( How can something that tastes so good be bad for you?!

Mama says I get the banana back twitch reeeeal good!

I hate bananas, yes I know it's hard to believe, but my bum doesn't twitch when I eat them, I toss them out the hutch door ~Rabbie of the fluffy Tribe

LOL I don't think Sammy has ever wriggled his bum out of "treat glee", but he waggles his tail at us when he's being sassy. Rabbits do know how to be sassy!

P.S. Nice sock yarn!

Freckles is a twitcher whenever the food is extra delicious! Bananas, multi-grain crackers, and oatmeal really bring out the bum twitching!

I've noticed that Tessa actually wiggles her tiny tail sometimes, from side to side. It looks really funny. Haven't discovered yet what makes her do that, though. Sometimed she does it when I tell ner "no", as if it was a sign of being annoyed, and sometimes when she gets something god to eat... like banana.

Oh, wow, you just described Buttons & Yohji too! Each time I come out from the kitchen, their eyes will be on me, searching for the slightest hint of a treat in my hands!!

Just last night, I gave them some banana.. their bums twitched like crazy!!

Hans, on the other hand, sniffed the banana and gave me a disgusted look.. as though I was offering rotten food or something!

When we picked up Anya from the SSPCA rescue, we had bought several bananas to make her feel specially welcome. No bum wiggling at all, not even a bite, even in fact a sense of dare i say disapproval! Anya, in all her short life, never ate banana.

Dandelions were her drug.
